How you and your Church can ENGAGE and serve during the tournament and beyond!

The following suggested areas of Engaging are aimed at serving the community, providing services to the upcoming rugby tournament and building lasting legacies.

The main purpose of serving is to make a positive difference in the wider community, and not to recruit for your organisation’s membership.

International Mission Team/s
- Churches can request the assistance of international mission teams to help them in serving the wider community
- Churches can collaborate with mission teams to implement specific ministry programmes

Prayer support
- Praying for the ministry, the country and the organisers around the tournament
- Establish prayer networks for specific needs around the rugby tournament.

Serving
- Showing the love of Christ through serving & volunteering your time and talents
- Love Your Neighbour (LYN) network believes that if the churches of NZ can make and build relationships in their community through serving during the rugby tournament, this is a huge win for the kingdom. LYN also offers training and follow-up opportunities that will remain relevant and useful long after the tournament

- Register to become an official RWC volunteer

- Organise holiday programmes
- Hold community Beautification projects & clean up operations
- Serving the less privileged with meals, groceries & clothing
- Visiting the elderly or people who are housebound

Social services
- Offering support in the areas of social need. Some examples of social services include:
- Red frogs – making parties safe
- Chaperon vulnerable party goers to a safe environment
- Hydration stations
- Salvation Army

Training - Being part of a range of training to equip and empower your church members to share Christ's love in practical ways. Some examples of training include:

Hosting
- Welcoming individuals or families into your home and showing them Kiwi hospitality
- Hosting people from Canterbury for the relocated matches
- Homestay programme for families of players from minnow nations
- Hosting of international mission teams
- Hosting visitors

Financial support
- Contributing financially to the ministry of Engage,click here.

Translation services
- Assisting ENGAGE and visitors in language translation services

Participate in REAL NZ festivals

- Take the initiative and engage with churches in your area

Business ministry
- Organise and host an event for business people where they can network, share experiences and be equipped for service in their workplace
